Making a Difference in Our Community
Committed to giving back and supporting our community through various initiatives and programs
Our Community Initiatives
Philanthropy
YMMS strongly believes in social services at its core, as it feels its responsibility to the social fabric of our community. With pride, we celebrate 11 years of successfully trendsetting Free-Dental-Days, which have had a far-reaching impact on the overall oral health of our Quinte. These yearly initiatives have allowed us to contribute to helping over 1000 patients in need and more than $600,000 worth of dental care services. We are also steadfast in affordable dental care, exemplified through supporting programs like Healthy Smiles and refugee initiatives.
Annual Initiatives
We annually sponsor over 30 causes per year. We wholeheartedly support Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation, Belleville General Hospital Foundation, and Children’s Foundation, recognizing their vital role in the community. Our dedication is showcased in participation in events like “Egg My Yard” Easter fundraiser, “Fill a Crib” for Mother’s Day, and initiatives such as “Socktober” for the Homeless-shelter and “Fill a Kiddie Pool” for local Food Banks.
Community Support
We thrive to support organizations like the 3Oaks Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and “Tims Camps,” enabling our youth to camp.
Supporting Young Athletes
Our commitment extends to our young athletes through sponsoring four soccer teams, BTB Riders Club, hockey teams, and more. We totally encourage an in-house culture of awareness throughout the year, by executing challenges from “Fruit/Veggie Challenge” to the “No-Junk-in-the-Trunk,” “5-Times-a-Week-Workout Challenge,” and “100K-a-Month-Walking Challenge,” to emphasize the importance of physical and mental vitality.
Celebrating 23 Years
As we mark 23 years in the business, we reaffirm our dedication to the community and acknowledge that there is still much to be done by exploring new avenues to foster a more vibrant community.
Dentistry from the Heart
You Make Me Smile, a leading provider of quality dental care in both Trento and Belleville, is proud to celebrate 11 years of its highly successful Free Dental Day event. Oral health is a vital aspect of overall well-being, and at You Make Me Smile, we strongly believe that everyone deserves access to quality dental care, regardless of their financial circumstances. We are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals in our community by addressing their dental needs and improving overall well-being.
Impact of Free Dental Day
- Dr. Younes: “The impact of the event can be measured not only
in the number of smiles saved but also in the profound effect it has had on the overall oral health and quality of life of individuals in our community. We believe that a healthy smile can be life-changing, boosting confidence, and positively influencing overall health and happiness.” - “Beyond the immediate impact of the procedures provided, the
Free Dental Day service has had far-reaching effects on the lives of patients. A healthy smile can instill confidence, enhance overall health, and improve the quality of life. By offering these services at
no cost, we strive to empower individuals to prioritize their
oral health and inspire them to pursue a healthier future.”
Gratitude and Commitment
The success of the Free Dental Day service is a collective effort, and we extend our sincere appreciation to our team, volunteers, and sponsors who have consistently demonstrated their commitment to making a difference. Their generosity and support have enabled us to create lasting smiles and contribute positively to the overall well-being of individuals in our community.
Looking Ahead
As we celebrate 11 years of the Free Dental Day service, we reaffirm our commitment to the community and our dedication to expanding access to quality dental care. We recognize that there is still much work to be done, and we will continue to explore new ways to support those in need and foster a healthier community.
